Biography

Isabelle Roy is a Full Professor in the Department of Geography at UQAM and director of the participatory cartography laboratory. Her research focuses on spatial democracy, citizen participation in urban planning and the use of geospatial technologies by marginalized communities. She currently leads a SSHRC project on collaborative mapping in Montreal's transforming neighborhoods.
